Keyboard Of Life Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Keyboard Of Life

Likening life to a keyboard, full of glee and sadness, all encompassed into an etude - melody - rhythm - furling around feelings and emotions, tethering us to earth with good intentions.
Finding solace in carefully composed notes and keys, sending us off in directions of our own as we listen to our own beats and drummers.

I feel like I'm at the center of the universe whole reading this poem. I sense the cosmic movement around but I'm not moved myself, physically that is, but imaginatively I am released from limitations. But I realize it's really the music which is in flight, and I am unable to move tethered as I am to planet earth. But what distant vision I have if only my mind is untrammeled.
