Kinda Free Poem by Anna Fernandez

Kinda Free

All my life, I've been trapped in my memories
I never learned to let it go, ‘til this summer
Ever since, I've been kinda free

(Chorus)
I've been blackmailed and tricked
I've felt alone and scared
I've felt tears slide across my cheeks
Always Miss Understood
But, I'm gonna change that
They're gonna regret it someday
This summer, I've learned to let go
I'm not hiding it anymore
I know I'm strange, but I'm finding my way

Learned to let go
Learned to have some fun
Yeah, Yeah I did
I use to be the one who looked down, the one who never looked up
Always underestimated
Always missunderstood
Now I'm kinda free
Always alone
Now I'm kinda free
Made myself a path that I'm gonna follow

I've made my choice and no one can make me change
You can try
But, I'll just walk away

I'm tired of it all
Give it up
Cause my mind's already made up
Tired of being brought down
It's a gift I never understood til now
And I'm loving it

(Chorus)
I've been blackmailed and tricked
I've felt alone and scared
I've felt tears slide across my cheeks
Always Miss Understood
But, I'm gonna change that
They're gonna regret it someday
This summer, I've learned to let go
I'm not hiding it anymore
I know I'm strange, but I'm finding my way

I'm better than ever
I'm looking up at the clouds
Looking at my future
My past
My present
Myself
