Kindness In This World Is Overrated

How kind do I have to be,
For everyone to see,
This is me,
And I like to help thee.
But now I am thinking,
That this world is shrinking,
Of this kindness I show,
To the world alone.
The kindness has fallen back,
Because it's starting to lack,
People that are all about,
Still showing they're doubt.
If people won't share,
Then I won't care,
I'll become one of they,
The people of today.
The world needs to be kind,
At one certain time,
Right now would really work,
But they all just smirk.
