Kindred Cake Spirits Poem by Barry Kavanagh

Kindred Cake Spirits

We are kindred cake spirits

Let’s bake together

I egg you on

Add a little bit of sugar

Cocoa me up

Sprinkle me sideways

We mix it up

One hundred grams of butter

Four hundred ounces of fun

A dash of vanilla

Now were havin’ some fun

Whisk me away

Until I am thick and delicious

Check the pack….I’m not nutritious

Bake me on high until I rise to the top

Grab me a fork because baking is up

We are kindred cake spirits

And baking is fun

Let’s do this again

I had so much fun
