Kismet Poem by Mark Nichols

Kismet

By Mark Nichols & Mehnaz Hoosein

Kismet kismet aye meri kismet
Tu mera lamha aye meri kismet
Tu mera karma aye meri kismet
Kismet kismet aye meri kismet

I was walking back in time
To the moment I first saw you
It was monsoon as is now
And the rain poured inside both of us

The storm we fled to get away
In your attic room remember
I don't dwell on starting over
But today I want the past to find me

What was I
Looking for
When I had
All I ever
Wanted

Now I look far
Across this desert
At my green grass...

Grass...

And I saw Buddha there
And I met Jesus there
And I heard Hendrix there
And I felt Shiva there
And I touched Gandhi there
And Andy Warhol there
And he just didn't care
He was in his underwear
And they said 'Ahhhhhh'

Set me free

Nice flowing poem. I tried to look up the meaning of some of the phrases and it is posted all over the internet under different names? Am I missing something?

Was written for one of my musical projects, Manooghi Hi, which is how you'll see it listed on the internet.
