Kiss Of Peace Poem by Timothy muggaga

Kiss Of Peace

you are the flesh misplaced
in the darkness of the grave.
with a soul saved; soul of the brave

You are the horizon of the day
that keeps shifting it's setting
raising with it the hope of her dwelling

you are the African Nile
that traces it's way up the frontiers
and your springs never fall back

You are the Alphabet missing
in this poem of love
but the rhyme never fading

You are the one gone, swept by the winds of fate
but caught by the grace of God
into the archive of mercy

I'd would like to kiss you,
but heaven grabs your wrist
I'd like to miss you, but rest in peace
