Kiss The Rain -Not Mine- Poem by Brittany Sczech

Kiss The Rain -Not Mine-

Rating: 3.5

When night falls
and dreams call
I see the light
and the birds flight

Words by mind
names are signed
Poems from the heart
everything seems to start

Who am I to write of love?
to write from above
Me who says I will be alone
with my heart of stone

It all seems wrong
the truth seems too long
But the stars shine so bright
and it's all too right

I want to love
I want to find that one dove
But me?
The strange busy bee?

Who am I to want that?
When I just want a sill old cat
I want someone to hold me
someone so lovely

Dreams can come true
and not just something held with glue
but something forever
we could stay together

The Sun will set on today
far on the watery bay
Forever is a long time
So, get out of your bind

I can always dream
a wish lit with a beam
This is me
as I'll always be

You asked for a poem
I am sorta broken
However I will just stay bright
For the future is full of light

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem my roommate wrote late the other night while I was asleep. I had asked if I could read some of her poetry and I guess she couldn't find any. It's kind of sad but, I enjoyed it. Thanks Sarah
