Knocking At Your Door Poem by yvonne stine

Knocking At Your Door

I hear a knock at my door, who can it be I do not know. No one has ever knocked at my door before. Shall I open it and let this person in or do I leave it closed and wonder what could have been. I decided to open the door and much to my surprise its been the friend I've longed for all of my life. He comes in and we sit down to talk. He tells me of his love and forgiveness and that my sins he paid for them all. As tears start to fill my eyes and I begin to weep he raps his arm around me and says don't worry I will comfort thee. Just always trust me and I'll take you through eternity.
