Knocking Poem by Jolanta Gradowicz

Knocking

Knock, knock! I don’t have a key
To your heart – I threw it away
Some time ago – forget that day!
Let me, again, come back and feel

Your breath, your touch and your love.
Knock, knock! I’m waiting for a sign
To settle in your heart - get on fine.
Let me in, I’ll be wise enough

Not to leave you, again, some day.
Trust me! Don’t reject my heart now.
Believe me, and don’t let me down.
Open the door – I can’t go away.

I set my heart on the return.
I understood – you’re my dear
Knock, knock – Look! I am still here.
Knock, knock – Please, don’t be so stern...
