Knowing Poem by Michael Muldoon

Knowing

Rating: 3.0

I don’t know how to do this.
We skipped it at the start.
I’ve never known of you,
without loving you.
Never known your name,
without the desire to change it.

From first glance I’ve needed you,
so long ago it seems.
Never friends nor strangers,
just straight to the fall,
a fall that’s yet to cease,
and probably never will.

But here we are again,
where it all began,
yet, another place altogether.
Where I came to know you,
and to love you,
I now love without knowing.
