Ladies... Poem by Merlin Mwaura

Ladies...

Why I always linger in sight,
not of a pervert an' the indecent kind,
but by the gait of a gentleman...
At the mold of a maiden flesh,
be-smacked by his volunteered lens...

To percieve of these pampered lot,
To want of her feminine fort,
what comfort sort...
In a lady, while I am met.
