Lambs Queue For A Funny Sort Of Ewe Poem by Stephen Katona

Lambs Queue For A Funny Sort Of Ewe

Rating: 4.5

I'm a Springer Spaniel called Jess,
And I know how to impress.
A milk bottle in my jaws,
Brings rounds of applause.

Lots of lambs with no mum,
Come to fill their tum,
Forming a queue,
By a doggy sort of ewe.

I keep a firm grip,
As each starts to sip.
They look so sweet,
Clinging to the teat.

Close to my tummy,
Some think I'm mummy.
It's enough of a reward,
To feel so adored.

Now remember to care,
For lambs everywhere.
Please try not to forget,
Or you'll make me upset.

Jess
