Lament For Eldrian Forests Poem by Aven Black

Lament For Eldrian Forests

Rating: 5.0

As the wolf cries and the moon waxes,
I shed a tear for humanity,
As the air bleeds and the sun blackens,
I shed a tear for myself.

As the trees cower under the blade,
And the old mountains crumble like old bone,
I sit upon my thorny-throne,
I hang my head in despair for all.

As the earth cracks,
And the lands sink,
And the seas dry out,
I sit here and am forced to watch.

As the animals become a mere flickering of thought,
As nature becomes a privilege rather than normality,
As all dies I am forced to sit and watch in torture,
As humanity lives on.

(...By Etheriel or “Floating Leaf”, Lord of Eldrian Forests...)
