Landed Bombs Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Landed Bombs

Smile and smile and your face will look so sweet,
Laugh and laugh and your face will look so bright,
Cry and cry and your face will look so sad!
For the nuclear war had began.

Nu-clear, nuclear war!
And a bomb landed on the Tigris river;
Where are the Iraqis?
Where are the Iranians?
Where are the Turkish?
Where are the Lebanese?
Of the messages from the Euphrates River as well,
And from the way it was created.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge and,
Like the untimely figs to be thrown to the Jordanians;
For the North Koreans are already firing missiles.

Fear, agony, pain;
With Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah in allance,
For a transparent history is at hand.

It is clearly written,
It is nicely packaged,
And it is well noted and accepted;
For the noise of the bombs could be heard everywhere!
Wars founded by Nations,
With tunnels everywhere to explore the advantage;
But, who is responsible for the landed bombs?
