Last Breath Of A Dying Heart

Oh how I yearn to kiss your lips
Oh how I hunger to love you.
I want to hold you in my arms
I want to caress your body all night.
I want to make love to you one last time.

The aching of this broken heart
is not just dying from old age
Instead, exploding inside-out
with love to give.
Wanting to share love
Wanting to keep giving.
Wanting to keep loving and keep living.

Why does love die?
Why must a Mid-life crisis happen?
How do you move on
When there is no-one to move on with?

We try to surround ourselves
with people we love
But the instant we leave them
we fall right back into loneliness.
Leaving us...Breathless....Limp and broken.

I want to love again, I want to live.
I am tired of crying.
I've cried an ocean of tears
and the one thing I fear
Is that soon I will pass
alone all alone.

I want to live again I want to love
I want to caress someone
all through the night.
I have been kicked around
Been down long enough
Life can't go on without love.

Love is like oxygen that keeps us alive
Without love..a broken heart dies.
Perhaps one day this broken heart mends
but what do I do until then?

I will inhale once again
If only I could breathe.
This is the last breath
of a dying heart.

A longing to live, to love, and be. The last few lines resolved the longing and produced Hope. So breathe and write for that's where the live for life is.
