Last day
On the last day of the year
that has passed,
turned around
to see what I’ve learned,
So many feelings
thought I never had
Had made their way in
and at times had gashed out.
Clear about life
At the same time confused
Went to so many places
in search of my sit.
As the last day lingers on
holding on its last breath
The new day is smiling
preparing with great force
Last day paves the way
realizing its place
The new day takes over,
now claiming its sit.
