Last Lights Poem by Hanzala Mojibi

Last Lights

As the last lights flicker out
I turn to you for solace
In this distress of mine
Cause you are the one left
In my solitary space
There is nowhere to go
This chilly pouring night
Now you too slam
The door on my face
I rue the days
I spent with you
In this damp awful haze
As the wind beat against me
I realized
Only God’s love is true for us
I know this now without a doubt
As the last lights flicker out.
