Last Sunrise

Rating: 5.0

The ocean stops and I look over,
Over the horizon,
At the rising sun,
The air freezes,
And my breath stops,
As the first burst of morning colors fly,
Stretch around the world,
Whispers glide across,
Across the dancing sand,
Reach for the sky and as I let my hands fall,
A waterfall soars,
Twirls around me,
I close my eyes and feel,
Feel the wind thrashing my hair around,
The last sunrise,
Sunrise of my existence,
I look to the sky,
Let the rain plummet to the ground and wonder,
Wonder how could this world be so different,
And wonderful at the same time?
