Last Tryst With Me Poem by Jose Maret

Last Tryst With Me

Rating: 5.0

It's the spice of the darkness
Spreading through my veins
I close my eyes to see the light
The warmth spreading into my depths
As the sword finds home in peace
I sat down letting it sink in anticipation
Of the ecstasy I felt when you were in me
Seeking, searching and turning me over
Nothing but a yester dream now.
A dropp of tear let go of its home
I fall with a crash against the door
The spirit escapes in a deadly moan,
The pain searing my dormant innards.
The untamed winds quieten into a deadly calm
As the last breath rejoins its estranged family.
Betrayal of a towering triumph in disguise
The aftermath of an urgent enterprise
