Late Night Mystery Poem by Rikki Das

Late Night Mystery

In the climax of a dark night
Escaping frost and chill with all my might,
Boarded down from my carriage, getting rid of my tension
Walked a while, stopped by a haunted mansion,
The mansion appeared calm and terrible
Heard some mystic tunes, which were feeble,
To explore the unknown, I gathered courage and rang the bell
The butler came out and introduced himself as 'Richard Dale'.
The interiors though spooky appeared bright with glamour,
The unique mansion was characterized by its absence of clamour,
The bright lamps and candle-lights made the room glowed
Sounds of ancient symphony, which in the mansion flowed,
The portraits of ancient warriors hung on the wall everywhere,
Noticeable cry of bat rocked the room here and there.
The old maid appeared scary and filled with treachery,
I noticed her eating red flesh and drink blood as supplementary.
The butler and maid were all liars,
They were nothing, but a gang of blood-thirsty vampires.
I was scared to the core of my heart to see this sight,
I knew, I had to flee even if I had to fight.
I did not wish to make any decisions which were abrupt and hasty,
They served me food, which appeared yummy and tasty! ! !
I consumed the food, avoiding any further troubles,
It was then I realized, the vampires were romantic couples.
The ghostly couple reunion made me shiver,
Yet they looked as if ‘MADE FOR EACH OTHER'.
But I was very clear, I had to escape,
Hence I didn't sleep and kept myself awake.
I climbed to the top-roof and made a desperate jump from the terrace,
Landed on the ground and ran towards my carriage,
And wished the vampires, 'ALL THE BEST' for their marriage……………………………………………………………………………………………
