Laying awake, late in the night,
Just can't seem to fall asleep.
It's getting close to early light,
Tossing and turning in a heap.
Long past Jay leno went off the air,
And infomercials rule the night.
Up to the ceiling my eyes stare,
Waiting for the morning light.
Watching Boris strangle Bela,
On the early, late, late show.
O.k. now I'm feeling kind of mellow,
I think I'm starting to doze.
The old black and white monster movies,
Are better by far, than sleeping pills.
They actually are kind of soothing,
And have just the right amount of chills.
