Leah In A Poetic Universe
In this life we pray at sunset,
Cry when we’re vulnerable,
Dream when we’re hopeless,
Find God when we need Him,
Believe in love against all odds,
Try to tell someone I need you
And I won’t hurt you again.
Please, meet me at a book store,
Let me gaze into your eyes,
I’m not the angel you are,
But I have a soul
That believes in kindness.
A haunting tribute to a dearly loved soul. This reminds me of Blanche DuBois' famous final line: 'I have always relied on the kindness of strangers' love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
