Lean On Me Poem by Torye Louis

Lean On Me

Lean on me
When you have no more strength to carry on
When your house, car, money are gone
Lean on me

I'll be there in a matter of time
I'll give you everything, even my last dime
I'd rather see you successful and me in the dirt
Cause I hate to see you hurt

So lean on me
When everybody is telling you what you can and can't do
When no one else wants to help you
Lean on me

Stop crying
Stop the tears
I'm here
No worries, no fears

Lean on me
That's all you need to do
Cause I'm the only one who cares about you
Lean on me

I hate to see you down
Eyes closed, with a frown
I'm trying to help you don't you see
I'm putting my life on the line and all I've worked for, for you

So please, just, lean on me
