Learning curve
Stealing glances
Passion brimming
Lips quivering
We sit closer and closer
Neither confident to initiate.
Instead we talk random gibberish
and try to learn science or spanish
focus on reading with hearts fluttering
pretend to be serious with eyes darting;
Pressure mounting not surmounting
And then the tide breaks through;
Books snap shut as passion opens
bringing in torrents of knowledge
as We read each other instead.
