Learning Truth And Leaving Lies Poem by David Thomas

Learning Truth And Leaving Lies

as people we move on
from many things that,
throughout the course of our lives
will shape and mold us
like finite artists to their clay
But when the long nights start to hurt
and the sleepless hours begin to spin
into a never ending cycle of torment,
as people we must move on
to a better place
One filled with journeys of love
and virtuous extravagance.
We needn't bring with us
the petty concerns of a world too far gone,
if you want to know bliss then know it
just walk away
The world would be such a better place
if everyone just stood up,
one by one
and walked away...
and it could start,
with you.
