Leaves Poem by Jonzo Bandwagoner

Leaves

Rating: 5.0

The emtpy hallways, the lonely corridors
Bar the attempt for any thoughts
Of future hopes, future dreams,
Instead reviving those memories
Of a thousand summers, winters, springs,
Fallen now like a red, dying leaf
From the maple tree outside my window.

This is really very good. One of your best! Hmm... undertones of death, depression, fatalisticness, eternity... but the word 'leaves' has this rather unexplainable connotation for me that pretty much kills the mood! Think Belle & Sebastien, 'Get me away from here, I'm dying'
