Leaving Me Poem by Mathew Sutter

Leaving Me

Once more,
You are leaving me,
To fend for myself.
Yes, I'm sure I can do it.
But I hate that you are leaving me.
My heart is again breaking.
I thought you said for sure this time.
But no,
You once more lie.
I should have known,
Should have suspected.
But I trusted you too much.
And now you are paking up your things,
And leaving me,
Alone.
You close the door.
And the sound of emptyness,
Echoes throughout the house.
I sigh in defeat,
Knowing you will never come back.
It overwhelms to no end,
And I have to get out.
I run out the door,
And here I am running,
Forever More...
