Ledge Of Love Poem by Phillip Alan Green

Ledge Of Love

I stand upon the ledge of love,
Felling lost, forgotton, high above,
Feel the fear I look down so deep,
And seek the courage to make this leap.

In past when I have played the game,
My life has never felt the same,
But a fool I've been in my belief,
I've lied in tangled web deceived.

I look inside my heart,
I don’t know what I seek,
I’ve always missed my strengths,
And always found it weak.

But I rest against its’ walls,
With the strength of your smile,
I know the path I must take,
With the power to lead me miles.

You so soft, so gentle are prepared to roll the dice,
I did not see before, what you sacrifice,
And what you are prepared to give, for me it is no less,
You also are prepard to leap, in search of happiness.

I take a breath, exhale as I look upto the sky,
I feel your touch upon me, I turn to see hands tied,
Now were stood together and I look into your eyes,
And we leap.......
And merge together and fly to start our life.
