The war scorched the planet
Once teeming with life
Is now a hot,
Lifeless,
Silent,
And dead planet
Spinning quietly,
Uncaringly on its axis
No wind
No clouds in the now green sky
All is still,
All is silent,
But for the soft lapping of the
Indifferent waves
The Great War came and went swiftly,
Obliterating
All life on the late, great planet Earth
