Lesson Learnt Poem by Jess Zapata

You left me left me for another
I thought we were meant to be
I thought we were meant for each other
I tried so hard to be your perfect one
But instead you pushed me away
And said this was all just FUN

You made me believe our love was strong
And it would never DIE
But then you made me realise
It was just all one big LIE
How stupid I feel to let you make me believe
That our love was strong
And that you would never LEAVE

Everything I did I did for you
Gave you my heart and soul and everything else
And you just broke my heart in TWO
I know it’s hard to mend this broken heart
But now I’m happy, happy that were APART

I’ve learnt my lesson now
Never fall in love with the wrong guy somehow
And realise it’s me who comes first
Not anyone else especially YOU
Who’s caused me nothing but HURT
