Lesson Lost Poem by Ima Ryma

Lesson Lost

A foreign student,21,
Charged with bomb toss in the U.S.
Witnesses saw what he had done.
Evidence was more than a guess.
He's Chinese, and China has got
Over the U.S. lots of sway.
Perhaps a crime that's best forgot.
Let at all just wink, wink away.
'He's a good boy, ' his mom does state.
Jail short while to do paperwork.
No doubt guilty, but let him skate.
Call it 'deport' the screwball jerk.

So would China forget the bomb,
And send the guy back home to mom?
