Lessons From A Broken Jeep Poem by Rita Umali

Lessons From A Broken Jeep

Journeying
through our life
we pass
a jagged road
a paved
smooth
one
trees
of different colors
and shapes
dust
and rain

breathtaking
beauty
of sunsets
over a horizons
of massive
mountains

as we sat down
enjoying
the scenic view
sometimes
we forget
that
we can have
a broken jeep
whether
it can be repaired
or not
we don't know

struggles
we may have
trying to get out
of a seemingly
unending
hole of mud
yet
we could also
get out
so easily
if we just
focus
on the hands
outstretch
patiently
waiting for us
to extend our hands
to HIM
our Lord
