Lessons In Life Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

what could I
with wisdom
and hindsight

possibly tell
newborn young about
lessons in life


i know
what it is
to be young
steady and glowing


but you
do not know
what it is
to be old and aging


reflecting in
warm twilight
of years

preparing
for birth
through death


it is through
joy and pain
that we learn

our lessons
in this life
of soul growth
