Lessons Magical Poem by Suchi Banerjee

Lessons Magical

Lessons are no good.
Lessons are worthless.
Lessons can hardly help in moments of madness

Lessons are a reflection
Of what you've always known;
Has just an external source,
Gives an illusion of a mind more grown.

Lessons have no value,
Creates false hopes
Of a better life, of a better you
'Cos on weakness, a weak man dotes.

Weakness, a weak man's folly,
Weakness, a weak man's excuse;
Weak, not strong men and women.
Inadequate mankind, sickness weakness bitten.

But God said you have magic.
God said you have power.
Magic in your heart and mind,
Magic you always mar.

The might in you will do its magc;
If only you set it free.
The quicksand of despair, the tentacles of weakness
Will, by all means let you be

Lessons are like water
Magical water, priceless water
Shapeless and simple,
Yes just water.

Life's a container,
Containing lots of water
You shape your container
The shape is all that'll matter.

Let the lessons seep in
Deep deep and deeper still.
Strengthen your will, nourish your will;
In need, lessons will help at their own free will.

Free is the will
The will is free
Free will it is
Where the powers be.
