Let Love Prevail

Life’s not as simple as it seems
Thistles and thorns abound
Shattering hopes and crushing dreams
Where gladness should be found

Domestic quarrel neighbourhood fight
Arguments night and day
Without God’s grace without His Light
No peace can come our way

Consider God in all you do
As one, kneel down in prayer
In truth and love lift high your view
Sweet unity to share

Darkness will quit its wicked wars
Evil will end its strife
Heaven will open true love’s doors
To husband and his wife

Christ is the way to life anew
Love is the end of hate
Nothing’s too hard for love to do
For those prepared to wait

Allow Christ’s hand to contravene
Let Jesus peace restore
No gloom will venture in-between
Where love has locked the door

We need God’s laws to understand
To learn the truth we’ve heard
Obey in depth each royal command
Trusting His every word

Within the realm of Heaven’s Dove
Where gloom gives way to Light
The hardest heart can change with love
In truth will man unite
