Let Me Know Poem by Matthew Burfoot

Let Me Know

You meet this "stranger" who looks friendly,
You then meet his personality which is not, but you've already led him on too much,
Trapped in something you don't want.
Keeping it going to please the non-useful feelings,
To scared to see if he will fight back,
All you had to do was let him know.
Leaving it too late hurts, the poor personality has a heart,
Ripped into shreds, "what did I do to you",
False question marks thrown about, a few scars left on the skin of those,
All because you didn't let him know.
The next time isn't so easy,
Now its on the other hand, feeling in charge now,
But "I" forgot,
To let her know.
