Let Me Make It Right Poem by Mike Kosman

Let Me Make It Right

Autumn leaves are falling
North wind's blowing in
I know it's been a while
But I've been scared to come home again
You've had summertime blues
And heard alot of bad news
Spent some sad and empty nights
You never looked good living alone
I came back to make it right

The boss was wondering where I'd been
Hadn't seen me for a while
I talked to him the other day
He shook his head and smiled
Said I can do without you
Better decide what you're going to do
But I hate to see you leave
I had big plans for you

I ran around the whole wide world
But never went a mile
What I mistook for a dirty look
Turned out to be a smile
Trying and failing ain't no sin
And I've done enough of that
But I feel so wrong cause all along
I knew here was where it's at

Winter's not my favorite time
The world seems cold and dead
Cold wind blows and brings the snow
But there's changes up ahead
With nothing to hide I won't have to lie
Or run away anymore
It's always warm and sunny
On the right side of the door

Autumn leaves are falling
North wind's blowing in
Now that I came around
Won't you please let me in
You got nothing to lose but your summertime blues
I can fill your empty nights
You never looked good living alone
Please let me make it right
