Let Nothing Cheat You

As none can rise to depths below
No one can steep too high
No one can reap but what they sow
Or live before they die

I praise The Lord my eyes can see
I’m in The Light today
I have my Father’s Guarantee
And love’s become my way

Nothing will cheat me of God’s Word
Nothing will make me sway
I’ll practice what I’ve truly heard
And Jesus Christ obey

Who’d be a fool to play the clown?
Knowing that all is well
Amidst the shadows lose life’s crown
And join the queue to hell

Let Heaven’s wisdom speak its piece
Lend God a while your ear
Let knowledge of The Truth increase
And learn His name to fear

He’s Lord of lords He’s Heaven’s King
Creator God divine
Should I now not His praises sing
Knowing that His is mine

I’m all agog I’m all askew
Excited more and more
The living God has made me new
And opened Heaven’s door

Oh bless The Lord for life on earth
For all I’ve had to see
But now I’ll live through second birth
And ever more shall be
