Let The Lines Come Poem by Shalom Freedman

Let The Lines Come

LET THE LINES COME

Let the lines come
Whatever they be
Let them make themselves into whatever patterns they are
Let them come
And let them simply pass the time

The time of a poet is in lines
And when they come
That is his life

So let the lines come
Let them continue to come
Whatever they mean

A poet too needs to be
And without lines
He is nothing at all.
