Letting Go Poem by Cindy Wright

Letting Go

She gripped her ripped heart with all her might
as it has been torn since letting go of his light.
Looking away in sadness, though strange acceptance
of her love slipping away. She realizes that he was but a ghost
of her dreams and he could not bring himself to be committed and stay.
Life circling around her, she must find her way to go on,
her strong heart will allow this task for the love is true
and desire for his happiness leads the way..
So she grips her heart with all of her might, and lets the light slip slowly away.
