Liar's Inferno Poem by Connor Finn

Liar's Inferno

In charred remains of broken dreams
I sit and stir the hot ash
in fire's wake my scortched mind screams
and my life begins to flash

one lie followed by another
infernos raize my lands
one flame to feed the other
hot embers in my hand

all of my ambitions burn
as starry skies are filled with smoke
the smokes refuse to abjourn
on cinders of my love I choke

using sparks of my desire
my green world you set ablaze
feeding all i was to fire
for a thousand hellish days

everything you ever told me
every word you ever said
every last promise and every decree
incinerate my heart and head

one thousand crimes I don't forgive
one thousand ways you lied
one thousand reasons to live
one thousand ways I died
