Lies Poem by MNSRAlyssa Bii

Lies

Rating: 4.3

I trusted you with all my heart
I thought that we would never fall apart
But you had to make things complicated
When you left me stranded in the mud
I thought you were someone who would never tell a lie
But you turned out to be so sly
You thought that one lie wouldn't hurt a soul
But now my heart has a big hole
You tricked others with your wicked smirk
But I was the only one who knew you were a complete jerk
You always played games with others' emotions
Never caring about their burdens
You told your friends that you cared about them
But deep down, you brought them nothing but mayhem
You said that you would never hurt someone
But in the end, you were always the person who would point a gun
I used to think that you were very cool
But you turned out to be so cruel
I can't believe I used to praise you
I used to think that all the words you said was true
While I'm weeping in the dark
You're out there ready to make your next mark
The night I found out who you really are
I was left with a permanent scar
Now that I'm out here ready to face the world again
I hope you're inside the devil's den.
