Life Poem by Alexander Foald

Life

A falling leaf in the mid air
Floating leniently downwards
Then the wind comes by and picks it up
Flies it to somewhere over the forest

A frog on the riverside, starving and confused
Singing the blues of its tender life while crying
“Why do I have to jump over this river,
Only to be eaten by snake hiding in the grass? ”

A man sitting on the sidewalk, looks troubled
His face is messed up and his hair ain’t any different
A bucket of flowers lie hopelessly beside him
Some witnesses just might say, “He got dumped by love.”

Oh boy, how life is a game to everything it touches
Even the smallest creature can tell how to win for the prize
You go up and down and sometimes you’ll never see the end
But the mystery remains unknown to whom this life is given
