Life Poem by Custous Angelus

Life

Life is tough this is as clear as daylight
Life can scare daylight out of us
Life can do many things
Life can be deceiving
And you are often deceived by it
No matter how much we plan for
No matter how much we improve
No matter what we achieve
No matter how much we grid the maps of this world
Life holds us in its grip and saps our hope
But when you are deceived by life
Why be angry and sad
Why mourn and get worn out
Do not be mad
Do not be sad
In the face of grief be mild
For dreadful days will leave and merry days will come
The days of mighty joy will prevail
No longer will life toy you around with hope of joy
For our heart lives in future
So what if present is a little gloomy and sad
What if feeling of dread seemingly prevails your days?
Close your eyes and count from 1 to 10
This is only a moment of little pain
Little pain will not stain our life crimson or bleak
It will surely leave us and no longer deceive us
The tears we shed today will clear our path tomorrow
We need to learn to let past go pass
And enjoy the little gift that will lift us up from our peril
Because what has passed will not come back
What has passed will be recalled as something pleasant.
And will become something dear
