Life Poem by nicholas gannon

Life

It’s a never ending circle, Again and again
They try to be like me, I try not to be like them
Originality is key, Who has the most of it?
Me, me I hope it’s me

Of course it’s me, just look at my friends
They try to be like me, I don’t try to be like them
Popularity is key amongst my friends, do I have it?
Yes, yes I think I do

We always count our friends, who has the most
Me, me, but I try not to boast
When it comes to competition I always roast
So do I win? Yes, yes I think do

I have that winning attitude
No matter what I do I try never to lose
And you know we always compare our shoes
Are my shoes cool? Yes, yes I think they are

Of course they are, they are always the coolest
When it comes to spending money I always spend the lowest
When we rhyme my flows are always the flowest
Are my rhymes cool? Yes, yes of course they are

My rhymes always be the illest rhymes around
and anyone who reads them will become dumbfound
ed, and theyre so sick they make a layer of skin shed
do I like skin, heads? No, no I never will

Bigotry is a form of idiocracy
A form of stupid is what it appears to me
Racism should be made illegal-y
Am I a racist? No, no I’ll never be

There’s no need at all to be a racist today
Everything’s so mixed up everyone is here to stay
So when it comes to racism what do I have to say?
Nothing
