Life A Day's Play Poem by Marbet Daniel

Life A Day's Play

Its sunrise from the east
a new day welcomed in a feast
though the future is so blink
as there exists no close link
between the new born day
and her ways several hours away.
The looks on the new face
is more of a dove and less a beastly trace.

The light meal at breakfast is past
to a particular cause now the day is steadfast
morning rays that brought in more synthesis
whose provision was an obligation without crisis
has increased its intensity of burning,
but its figure is also becoming more stunning
everything including one's life become trivial
virtually nothing is not subjected to trial.

This lasting for less than awhile
true dawn comes proving more things vile.
midday approaching, life appraisal is on the rise
you are on your own most persons realize.
most men seeking financial stability,
before one's full ability, comes responsibility.
The fortunate to inherit enough from their fox
spend in their way, some keeping them in the box.
now everyone is trying out of the day to make the most
counting minutes before all is lost.

The sun is a-setting and everyone is weak
much interest in anything not to seek
looking up to the achievements they made
their fruits to reap at the comforts of their bed
down the sun is setting to the west
bodies are weak and its time to rest,
to the long day they bid a silent bye
as the clock tickles by.
with a sudden seize of heart beat
the day ends in an unhappy bit.
out of stage, under the soil the body they lay
those still breathing to carry on in the play.
