Life: an unsolved riddle Poem by Ridhima Mehrotra

So many questions juggling
in the human mind
throughout day and night
why why why and why
why this and why not that
why someone else and why not me
or why me why always me
why does this happen to me
why can't I be that
why is it so unfair
why is life so harsh on me
why has God turned a deaf ear
to my prayers
why why why and why

But for everyone
life is full of problems
for everyone
life is full of ironies
because another name of life
is to strive
life and problems go hand in hand
they are like best friends
inseparable unlike people
and yes, one should enjoy
all the seasons of life
be it spring
or be it winter
because if one goes
then another comes
for life is a roller coaster ride
and that is why
it is so intriguing
that is why
it is so interesting

Every cloud has a silver lining
life is and will always be
an unsolved riddle
just run with it
get up and fight back
with hope, optimism and patience
to cross all the hurdles...
