Life: As It Should Be Poem by Cassandra Howell

Life: As It Should Be

Crawling, crawling
You’re beginning your life

Walking, walking
Taking on the strife

Running, running
You don’t know where to stop

Climbing, climbing
Until you reach the top

Turning, turning
Looking at the past

Wishing, wishing
The young years would last

Kneeling, kneeling
To the Lord you pray

Asking, asking
To make it through another day

Reaching, reaching
Toward the stars above

Gazing, gazing
At the ones you love

Wanting, wanting
To see heaven alone

Crawling, crawling
Toward the Father’s throne
