Life Is But A Dream Poem by Rain Storm

Life Is But A Dream

Rating: 2.6

When life doesn't seem real
Its not a great big deal.
We dream our dreams at day,
And at night
Though then everything seems quite a fright.
Whether dark
Or whether light

Life is but a dream.

But what about those times we sought
And dreamt dreams so real
They caught
Could it be as originally thought
Those dreams were not fate's seal
But realer than real

Life is but a dream.

But what about time and space
How are they concerned with this dreamful place
Could it be here or there
Into which we stare
Everyone knows
But does anyone care.

Life is but a dream.

But what about the birds that sing
Are they really bells that one should ring
Do they even know anything.

Life is but a dream.

But when we awake in the night
And toss and turn with a quite a fright
And awake to see a gauntly sight.

Life is but a dream.

So even now as you slumber,
Is it 'cause they've called your number,
Will you remember this dream you dreamt
In the sweet November.

Life is but a dream.

But after all thats said and done,
What have we really won,
If this dream kills everyone.

Life is but a dream.

If we dream a thousand times,
What sense is there to these rhymes,
Will they unplug us from this world
So a true life we can really hold.
Perhaps I'm being far too bold.

Life is but a dream.
