Life Is Leaking Faster Poem by Nick Kler

Life Is Leaking Faster

Life is leaking faster
from the creaks in my veins
I try harder to breathe in
before it start's to rain
I can barely contain

I ride these treacherous rides
All through the burning night
Take me to a place so holy
I need to wash them from my mind
Memories of childhood
and my worn-out dreams

Within this starry firmament
I am nothing more than a speck of dust
Trying to make for myself
A life, a home and a head of stone
There is nothing more that I ask
Before I fade away into the dark
